Training (undergrad / postgrad / fellowship)

I completed my undergraduate training at the University of Bristol Medical School and my basic surgical training at the University Hospitals of Leicester. In 2002 I came to Shropshire having obtained a post on the Oswestry / Stoke Trauma and Orthopaedic Specialist Registrar training programme and worked in Telford, Dudley, Stoke-on-Trent, Shrewsbury and Oswestry during my rotation.

Towards the end of my training I developed a sub-speciality interest in Foot and Ankle disorders spending a year in the Foot and Ankle Unit in Oswestry. I also gained a wide experience of and became interested in limb deformity surgery during my final two years particularly during my time with Professor Thomas in Stoke-on-Trent. I have been on a fellowship to the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics, Kurgan, Russia to study frame surgery particularly in foot and ankle, trauma, deformity and infective problems.

Current post

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in Foot and Ankle Surgery and Limb Reconstruction at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry commenced October 2008.
