Marck van Liefland is a Consultant Orthopaedic Upper Limb Surgeon and offers an extensive range of conservative and surgical treatments for all shoulder, elbow and hand problems:
- Joint replacements for shoulder, elbow and hand in arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
- Carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger
- Dupuytren’s correction and collagenase injections
- Keyhole surgery for all shoulder and elbow problems, including:

Training
Mr van Liefland graduated from the internationally renowned medical school of Leiden, the Netherlands. Following a year of research for his MD at the University of Bonn in Germany, he started his surgical training in the UK. He was awarded a Masters of Science Degree from the University of Cardiff in the field of Biomechanics and Engineering in Orthopaedic Surgery. He is regularly involved in teaching future surgeons. After two posts in Plastic and Hand Surgery he started his orthopaedic speciality training with posts in Cardiff, Swansea and North Wales, followed by two years on the Oswestry Rotation gaining the desired training in his chosen field of interest of Upper Limb Surgery.
